Synopsis
The real estate industry comprises multiple processes such as the development, leasing, appraisal, marketing, brokerage and management of commercial, residential and industrial properties. The industry still has a huge potential for growth due to the continuous growth of cities in both emerging and advanced economies – as seen from PwC’s Real Estate 2020 report, where demand for private capital for real estate investment and supporting infrastructure has drastically increased over the past few years. Simultaneously, the industrial landscape is also becoming more complex, with environmental and technological aspects being taken into greater consideration in recent years. Singapore’s commercial real estate market remains strong, with Singapore topping the 2020 list of Urban Land Institute and PwC’s Best Investment Prospects and a more than 175% increase in commercial real estate investment in the first three quarters of 2019 as reported by JLL.
