Mental Wellbeing In The Time of COVID-19 (28 May 2020)

-1428Days -19Hours -6Minutes -37Seconds

Synopsis

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the resultant circuit breaker measures in Singapore, has been deeply felt in many, if not all, aspects of Singaporeans’ lives, ranging from tensed familial relations to reduced work productivity. These phenomena have destabilised Singaporeans’ mental wellbeing, as reflected in the sharp rises in the number of people calling in to local mental health organisations such as the Singapore Association for Mental Health to seek relief from the mental health stressors brought about by COVID-19. While it may be difficult to offer a panacea for the breadth of unique mental health circumstances, Advisory hopes to, in collaboration with the Singapore Hub of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Community, provide students and young professionals tools and frameworks that can be employed to upkeep mental wellbeing even during these trying times.
