Synopsis

As an international logistics hub, Singapore plays a key role in connecting supply chain nodes to ensure efficient international and domestic trade flows. The industry is an important pillar of Singapore’s economy, contributing a value-add of $6.8 billion and over 86,300 jobs in 2018. However, global developments such as China’s Belt and Road Initiative, stiff regional competition, as well as supply chain disruptions from the COVID-19 pandemic, mean the industry has been driven to rethink its mode of operations both domestically and abroad, in turn providing new opportunities for growth.

Discover+: Logistics, co-organised by Ninja Van, provides students with the opportunity to hear from experienced professionals from organisations like Ninja Van, Redmart/ Lazada Singapore, Schenker Singapore (Pte) Ltd, and The LEGO Group! Through Discover+: Logistics, students can find out more about careers in the sector, and learn how best to position themselves for careers in this exciting field.

The Discover+ Series is a series of events, delivered through online digital solutions and sponsored by Workforce Singapore, which give students the chance to speak directly with working professionals and learn about careers they aspire to enter.
